Most leading banks and credit card issuers rely on Fair, Isaac’s analytic solutions, as do insurers, retailers, telecommunications providers and other customer-oriented companies. Through the www.myFICO.com Web site, consumers use the company's FICO® scores, the standard measure of credit risk, to manage their financial health.

When EWSolutions was asked to help kick-start their meta data repository initiative, the Fair, Isaac project team had already spent several months trying to define a worthwhile and achievable scope for the initial effort. To provide a solid knowledge base at the outset, EWSolutions conducted an on-site meta data course for the project team and key stakeholders. The course used real-world case studies to leverage best practices learned on previous meta data repository implementations. Through brainstorming exercises and group interaction, EWSolutions worked with the group to clarify the strategy and define the basic scope of the effort by the end of the second day of class. After completing the meta data training, EWSolutions continued working with the Fair, Isaac team to develop a template and then flesh-out the scope definition, technical architecture, and design of a meta data repository, initially focused on supporting a major banking client. EWSolutions also provided high-level staff mentoring throughout the engagement. This successful architecture has since been expanded and is now being used to support other Fair, Isaac clients.
