Job Requirements

1. Ability to work at multiple levels of a metadata management project, including defining the metadata management architecture, managing the metadata project, mentoring metadata developers, etc.
2. Assist in the development of the back-end of the managed metadata environment (the process of getting data into the metadata repository), extracting metadata from its sources and programmatically integrating it into a database
3. Delivery for the front end of the Metadata repository, extracting metadata from the repository and presenting it using client web applications
4. Implement metadata standards for the developers to ensure completeness and accuracy
5. Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with metadata management tools such as Ascential's MetaStage, Informatica's SuperGlue, CA Advantage Repository (PR/MVS or PR/OEE), ASG Rochade, Adaptive, MetaMatrix or DAG MetaCenter
6. Validate metadata content in collaboration with the respective data stewards
7. Classify and enrich metadata requirements to ensure performance and functionality of the metadata management system for future releases
8. Design architecture for future enhancements
9. A qualified candidate will need to participate in data architecture related tasks such as:
   1. Design conceptual data model business requirements
   2. Design logical and physical data model
   3. Create documents to explain the data models
   4. Walk-through the data model and accompanying documentation with technical architects and business users
10. Candidate will possess experience in data modeling and development with DBMS
11. Candidate will possess adequate knowledge in overall data architecture concepts, standards and practices, relational and dimensional data models, DBMS concepts and design, Oracle (9i/10g), industry standards such as CWM, MOF, UML, FEA (federal government), DODAF, XMI, data quality issues and tools
12. Candidate must possess strong analytical skills for effective problem solving, excellent written and verbal communication skills, good client presence, and work well in a team environment.
13. BS degree (Computer Science concentration preferred) or equivalent experience required

1. EWSolutions has an extensive interviewing process that includes workshop testing
2. Background checks and drug screening are performed
3. Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa
4. This position requires full-time travel; however, we do attempt to staff consultants to a local client where available and applicable
5. Relocation is available to those consultants that desire it and where it is available
6. Our prime client locations currently include Chicago, Washington DC, and Phoenix
