Job Requirements

The Data Warehouse Project Manager has the responsibility for developing and delivering client data warehouse initiatives. This responsibility includes delivery of client solutions that exceed business requirements & issues, integration of high quality source data, development of full life cycle data models, innovative business intelligence delivery to users. In addition, the Data Warehouse Project Manager is responsible for recommending the optimal systems of record, information architecture, technology infrastructure, and security for the data warehouse.

Responsibilities Include

1. Overall planning, budgeting, resource allocation, design, development, project management for new client engagements and phases.
2. Recommendation and implementation of data warehousing and business intelligence products (Ab Initio and Cognos a plus)
3. Creation and re-engineering of data warehouse environment designs and implementations
4. Creation and re-engineering of data warehouse models (ODS, data warehouse, data marts, scheduled/batch reporting database, security, operational measurement)
5. Implementation of business requirements, gap analysis, and technical specifications.
6. Project management of the engagement teams
7. Efficient and timely transition of new client implementations and phases to the client teams.
8. Collaborate with client business leaders, executives, SMEs, information technology, business users on full life cycle engagements
9. Keep informed on the latest technologies and data warehousing trends within the firm and industry

Requirements

1. Experience with data warehousing concepts, designs, and project implementations (Ab Initio a plus)
2. Experience with meta data and meta data repository products
3. Experience with business intelligence delivery (Cognos Suite a plus)
4. Relational database development and design knowledge, including strong SQL skills.
5. Data modeling product experience (Erwin a plus)
6. Knowledge of and experience with sound development principles and methodologies
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Process analysis and systematic thinking
9. Knowledge of OLAP reporting methods
10. Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels
11. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, developers and end users
12. Ability to prioritize among a large number of requirements
13. Project management experience

Miscellaneous Information

1. EWSolutions has an extensive interviewing process that includes workshop testing
2. Background checks and drug screening are performed
3. Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa
4. This position requires 100% travel Monday thru Thursday
