Chicago, IL(12/06/2004) – Intelligent Enterprise Magazine recently announced its annual “RealWare Awards” winners, and EWSolutions found their name at the top of the list. In the category of “Best Business Intelligence Application”, EWSolutions won the award for “Best Information Integration” which is given to a company that exhibits excellence in pulling together multiple resources to support a "single version of the truth” which is exactly what EWSolutions has done for the Department of Defense (DoD).
EWSolutions was tasked to create a new central database designed to tie together the DoD’s $80 billion supply chain, which includes over 8 million parts, operated by over 3 million people. This system depends on over 3,000 different computer systems to provide data critical for making decisions such as whether a piece of tracking equipment is combat ready or if U.S. troops need to be re-supplied with items including ammunition, food, or water.
EWSolutions was among hundreds of applications submitted for consideration by the distinguished RealWare Awards judges and according to Intelligent Enterprise Magazine, “the competition was tight in most categories, leading to spirited debates and 11th hour decisions.” EWSolutions president and founder David Marco stated, “This award shows that the industry thought leaders and experts recognize that our work for the Department of Defense is truly remarkable.”
